Hymne d'O is the daughter of Nostalgie des Vaux, a mare from a highly promising dam line. Her sire, Gentleman Platière, had already built up an impressive competition record at a young age in France.
Hymne herself was selected for the Elite Auction in Fontainebleau at the age of three. In September 2010, she was sold through this auction to Poland, where she went on to claim bronze at the 2012 Championship for five-year-old horses.
By June 2013, at just six years old, she was already jumping clear rounds at 1.30m level.
Later, Hymne competed in Italy up to 1.55m level.
