Folie Bergère d’O is a beautifully bred mare by Vigo d’Arsouilles out of Billy Jeane d’O. Her dam, Billy Jeane, is best known for finishing 3rd at the Belgian Junior Championships in 2009, while her sire needs little introduction: Vigo d’Arsouilles had a stellar international career, including victory in the 1.60m Grand Prix of Royan and, most notably, being crowned World Champion in 2010 with Philippe Lejeune.
Folie Bergère herself showed early promise in the Classic Cycle for young horses, jumping seven clear rounds. She also competed at the Belgian Championship for 5-year-olds, finishing 8th in the consolation final.
She was later sold to the renowned stable of Jos Lansink.
In 2012, under French rider Guillaume Batillat, Folie Bergère represented her generation at the FEI World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken.
