The sire of Ricky d'O is Navajo van 't Vianahof. This young stallion was the vice-champion of the BWP Stallion Selection in 2016 has a great dam line. He is bred out of the top mare Viana van de Kornelishoeve. Viana is also the dam of no less than three Grand Prix horses, namely Dakota, Ghana and Inca Boy van 't Vianahof, one of the top performers of Edwina Tops-Alexander. Navajo's father is the Vigo d'Arsouilles-son Vagabond de la Pomme. In the PAVO stallion competition Navajo has been one of the tastemakers in the past few years and now he continues to do so.
The dam of Ricky d'O is Athena de Saint-Simeon. Athena's sire is Norton d'Eole, who is jumping internationally at 1m60 level. The dam line produced seceral international jumpers including Ravel de St Simeon (approved stallion), Quel Elu de St Simeon (SF approved stallion who jumped up to 150 level), Tel Elu de St Simeon (155 level), Vittorio de St Simeon (140 level) and Vinci de St Simeon).
Ricky d'O was sold to Ben Thiry (Belgium) through ET Auction in 2020.
